The Men’s Club Soccer team is an organization designed to enrich the experience of every soccer-loving UMBC student. Those who seek the thrills of continuing to play soccer at the competitive level are welcome to join the club. Moreover, the Men’s Club team allows the opportunity for any student to participate in organized soccer throughout the fall and spring semester.
About Us

UMBC Men's Club Soccer team is not an NCAA varsity program. As such, the Men’s Club squad is the second highest outlet for competitive soccer at UMBC for Men.
Our club is formed, developed, governed, and administered by the student membership of the club.
Our club competes in the Baltimore Beltway Division, which the division is comprised of the schools Towson University, University of Delaware, Mount St. Marys University, University of Maryland College Park, Loyola University and Johns Hopkins University. The club also competes in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) Region 1. The team is open to any undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
The regular season takes place in the Fall (late August, September and October) and can extend into November, depending on how the team performs in the regular season. We also have a Spring season but games hold no official play but present opportunities for Open Training Sessions as well as friendly matches and the chance to participate in some regional friendly games and tournaments.
Despite its competitive nature, the team is an outlet for students to engage in physical activity outside of class and continue playing through their college years. It has always been a club policy that class and University commitments come first. Club members soon develop strong time management skills in order to adequately balance soccer and school.
